Order Processing

Live plants require special care and preparation before shipping. Our team carefully hand-selects, inspects and packages each plant with protective materials prior to shipment. Some orders may ship same day and others may require a few days to process.

We aim to ship out all orders within 3 business days.

We will contact you directly if there is any delay.

Nationwide Shipping

We are proud to offer nationwide shipping on most of our products, including live plants. While there are some restrictions, we can fulfill most orders, even to agriculturally restricted areas (like California). Your shipping options will be presented to you at checkout.

Our shipping rates are as follows:

Orders under $89 → $15
Orders over $89 → FREE

Some items, like fragile pottery or oversized products, may incur additional packing & shipping fees in order to ensure safe arrival of your items.

Local Delivery

We offer Local Delivery to NYC and the surrounding areas (up to ~150 miles). The delivery fee is based on the size of the plants and the delivery distance.

Lobby Delivery
Same or next-day delivery is generally available. Items will be delivered to the lobby of your building or first dry area via a courier service.

White Glove Delivery
Our team will coordinate a delivery appointment, bring your items safely indoors or upstairs, set everything in place, handle all repotting and cleanup, and share guidance for long-term plant care.

Your delivery options and pricing will be presented to you at checkout, once you enter your address.

Returns & Exchanges

We accept returns & exchanges on non-live goods only (planters, tools, accessories). Email hello@theoldyew.com within 30 days to start a return. Items must be unused and in original packaging. You are responsible for return shipping costs.

We accept returns to store credit only, and all plant sales are final.

Healthy & Happy Guarantee

We guarantee all plants will arrive healthy and in good condition. If your plant arrives damaged or unhealthy, we'll replace it free of charge. You can find more information about our full Happy & Healthy Guarantee policy here.
